Facilitator and Assistant Facilitator Benefits Package

The two main volunteer positions for our youth on Sundays are the Facilitator and Assistant Facilitator.  These volunteers are responsible for imparting to and living Science of Mind principles for our youth.  The Facilitator takes the lead role in this, doing additional prep and planning before each Sunday. 

Due to the importance of this role and the dedication needed, we are creating the following “benefits package” available to all who step forward into these leadership roles for our youth.  The intention is to encourage our youth leaders to build on their education and growth, which they can then bring to our youth.  In addition, we also want them to continue to be spiritually fed and supported by Namasté as they fill their role with our youth. 

1)    50-100% discount for Foundations class.  100% discount for signing up to volunteer once a month as a facilitator or an assistant for one year or a 50% discount for Foundations for signing up to volunteer once a month as a facilitator or an assistant for 6 months.  New YFM volunteers are encouraged to begin their commitment within the first 6 weeks of their class.  For an existing YFM assistant, the “clock” for this commitment begins counting the month that Foundations class begins (meaning past service is not applicable to fulfilling this time commitment).

2)    10-20% discount on Science of Mind classes.  20% discount for facilitators, 10% discount for assistants on all of the credentialed Science of Mind classes offered at Namasté.  This benefit is available to all active facilitators and assistants, even while fulfilling a commitment for a Foundations class scholarship.  Which benefit is applicable is based on the current month only – meaning new volunteers are eligible immediately and, if you change from assistant to facilitator, you may request the Facilitator discount for any class beginning that same month or later.

3)    A free CD of the current service for any YFM volunteer who spent Sunday in Youth Church.

4)    Free workshop/class attendance for facilitators and assistants for any Namasté sponsored workshop or class that is related to facilitation or directed at parents/caregivers (as these are all caregivers to our youth).  Note: Guest speaker workshops given at Namasté are generally excluded from this benefit. 

5)    25% scholarship to Asilomar.  For any Facilitator who has completed 1 year or more of volunteering as a Facilitator in May of each year, a random drawing will be held in late May or early June to give a 25% scholarship to one Facilitator to attend Asilomar.  Note: This is only available for Facilitators, not assistants.
