My God!

My God is not a God of vindictiveness,

Retribution and eternal damnation.

She reminds us when we're off our paths,

And energizes us when we're on track,

If only we use our resources to see and listen.

She insists that we use all of the talents that She bestows,

If we are to be rewarded with happiness.

My God is not a God of rules and regulations and conformity.

She admonishes us not to judge, lest we be so judged.

For She has created us each individually and uniquely,

With our own paths known only to Her,

And to us as (if) we evolve spiritually.

When we remember to love each other as we love ourselves,

And love Her with all of our will, strength and might,

My God dismisses the need for any other "Commandments."

She holds me in the palm of Her hand

And, together, We move mountains.
